Book Salavessa hotels

Lovely boutique hotel within the walled hilltop town of Marvao. Special lamb dishes for Easter were delicious.

What an exceptional spot! Marvao is incredible. The pousada is in a perfect location, and overlooking the plains below, it has a fabulous view. Our room, although small, was quite commodious and had historic traditional Portuguese furniture. Our dinner and breakfast were most enjoyable, although the dinner was not “gourmet”. Would we stay there again? Absolutely.

This place served us well. We only stayed for a night, but it was set up that you could easily stay longer. Clean, spacious and great kitchen set up. Self checkin at night, so make sure you have codes to get into building and room.

Great friendly owner who contacted me before arrival to make sure there would be no delays on arrival even if I arrived outside reception times. The property is very clean with everything you need for a short or long stay. I would highly recommend this Guest House.

Unfortunately, due to the weather we did not get to venture away from the hotel but the map shows it being close to points of interest. The hotel itself was very clean, modern and the room was very clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were both very good with plenty of options.
