Book Sakurajima Yokoyama Cho hotels

Room with two single beds was crowded but breakfast and the price were very good.

First off, we dropped our luggage which was so convenient with the hotel attached directly to JR station. The self help luggage storage is easily done with any "chip" card, e.g. Suica or credit card. Staffs were very helpful. During check in, staff helped to get a missing stamp from other hotel for a JR passport promotion program for us. Room was clean and good space even we just booked a double room. Breakfast located at the ground floor was great especially with the shabu shabu pork. Only thing missing at the hotel was the public bath but location trumps it. Shopping and restaurant are all walkable reached. Highly recommended for all JR pass Travellers.

L’hôtel est très bien situé. Nous avions une chambre King. C’était très confortable. L’équipement pour cuisiner était assez sommaire à notre goût mais on s’est débrouillé! Le lave-linge et sèche-linge est un plus. Nous le recommandons fortement. Très bon rapport qualité prix!

I had a room with view on volcano. It was great on morning time. There was possible to open narrow window to get some fresh air. Room was clean. I was on paid buffet breakfast. Great variety of dishes.

This hotel is in an excellent location opposite Kagoshima chuo train station. We had an amazing view of Sakurajima volcano from our room on the 13th floor. The hotel is very comfortable with an excellent buffet breakfast. I would definitely stay here again!!

I believe because of the way the shower spaces are designed, mold collects easily. My first room had mold on the shower floor, doors, shutters (not sure why they chose to have the shutters inside the shower) and caulking. They were kind enough to move me to another room, which had much less mold. The walls have scuffing and the floors show a lot of signs of wear. However, the lobby space is nice and the location is great - easy to walk to the ferry terminal and the airport bus is right outside. It’s also only like 15-20 minute walk to the train station. But I found I couldn’t fully relax due to the state of the room.
