If you're a proud carrier of the wanderlust gene (no duh, you're here right?), then you won't want to miss out on seeing more of the Hyogo region. Boost your landscape photography game by visiting some of Hyogo's incredible coastal plains and mountains. Ruins, castles and old towns are a few more places worth pulling your camera out for. Adventurous types can also try their hand at popular regional activities like snowboarding, skiing and mountain climbing.

Toyooka is another place where you can lay back and order up some room service like a boss. Located 35 kilometres northwest of Saji, it's where you'll find the Izushi Karo Yashiki and the Ito Kiyonaga Art Museum. The Auberge Toyooka 1925 and Toyooka Sky Hotel are some of the great hotel and apartment options here. Or, you could consider staying in Ono, 40 kilometres to the south of Saji, where you can pick from the Hotel Aura Ono -Adults Only and Hotel Route-Inn Ono.
