We had an amazing stay at La Sauzade, the property is stunning with plenty of charming features in keeping with a grand French manor. We found the rooms comfortable and spacious and there was a good mix of double and family rooms to suit our party. We enjoyed the pool, table tennis and the kids really made the most of the extensive property grounds. Aubeterre is only 15 mins walk away and was great fun to explore.

A lovely family holiday

A lovely break - the house was pretty much as described.The pool is great - the outside eating space is fantastic and there are 3 big fridges to keep everything cold. The living accommodation is great and it really is a lovely house. Tennis court is in good nick - but bring your own racquets and balls as the stuff there is not great.Thierry - who sorts out any issues was great and really responsive. A few small negatives - the oven is pretty useless and I see that previous reviews have mentioned this - a low cost solution that would make things easier for guests. Secondly - there are no restaurants within walking distance as in the description - but some good ones a short drive away. Finally - you have to pay to use the bikes in the photos - 20 euros a bike - just so you are aware these are not included.
