There's only 1 hotel within a 10-kilometre radius of the centre of Saijo, so you'll need to move faster than a kid on red cordial if you want somewhere to stay nearby.

There's nothing quite like a good sleep (and a decent sleep in) at Hotel Route-Inn Iyo Saijo. This is as central as you can get in Saijo.

An additional option is the Hotel Route-Inn Niihama, which is a great choice if you don't mind travelling 18 kilometres to the main streets.

Looking for more to do? Kick back and spend the day exploring the Lake Ishitegawa Dam and the Sairin-ji Temple. You'll find them in Matsuyama, 30 kilometres to the west of Saijo. If you'd like to spend a few nights in Matsuyama, look into the rates at the Okudogo Ichiyunomori and Hotel Mielparque Matsuyama. Or, you could stay in Kochi, 50 kilometres to the southeast of Saijo, where you'll find The Crown Palais New Hankyu Kochi and Nishitetsu Inn Kochi Harimayabashi. The Chikurinji Temple and the Zenrakuji Temple are some of the most popular attractions to see when you're in Kochi.

Sitting 75 kilometres to the north of Saijo is Fukuyama, a regional hub with a population of 380,000. It's home to some great attractions, like Tomonoura, Fukuyama Rose Park and the Fukuyama Museum of Art. If you're in the area for a bit longer, keep the good times rolling with a visit to the Fukuyama Auto and Clock Museum and Fukuyama Castle.
