There's only 1 place to stay within a 10-kilometre radius of central Sado, so you'll need to move faster than a kid on red cordial if you want to stay close by.

Travellers will want to set up camp at the Kohan no Yado Yoshidaya, as it's the only available hotel close to all the main areas.

This is an aging hot spring hotel type ryokan, but it is well maintained and the staff is outstanding. This hotel is still so popular with the locals that all of their restaurants were sold out for all meals on a Tuesday.
