Today's the day you pull the plug on Googling cheap holidays and book that Sacos escape. While there aren't many opportunities to base yourself downtown, you'll find an awesome hotel just a bit further out. Suss out our 3 places within a 10-kilometre radius of central Sacos.

The O Bergando and Casa Rural O'Pozo are your best options if you want to sleep as close as possible to the centre.

You may also like to stay at the Hotel Quinta de San Amaro, which is 25 kilometres away. Or maybe the Hotel Galicia Palace, just a distance of 13 kilometres from Sacos. If those choices don't suit, you might prefer to go with the Hotel Puerta Del Sol or the Rectoral de Cobres 1729.

Need more options? Hole up like a rockstar in Pontevedra (just try not to wreck the joint). Located 13 kilometres away and home to the Pazo de Cultura and the Museo de Pontevedra, it's bound to be a trip to remember! The Hospedería del Monasterio de Poio and HHB Pontevedra Confort are just some of the great long and short-stay options here. Alternatively, you could stay in Poio, 17 kilometres to the southwest of Sacos, where you can pick from the Hotel Villa de Marin and Hotel Rural Campaniola. Praza de Lena and San Francisco Church are popular attractions to see while in Poio.

Go 30 kilometres west and you'll find yourself in O Grove, a regional centre with a population of 11,000. While you're exploring this neck of the woods, you'll be able to whip out your selfie stick and get your tourist on at Praza de Fefinans, O Grove Aquarium and the Ethnographic and Wine Museum.
