Nice basic hotel in EXCELLENT location

PLUS SIDE: Excellent location right opposite the Trevi Fountain. Friendly reception staff. Small, basic room, but comfortable with bathroom basics. Rooftop bar/breakfast area overlooking the Trevi Fountain. DOWNSIDE: the shower was ludicrously small with a shower curtain which did not reach the whole height of the shower, meaning the bathroom flooded every time it was used.

Great location with view of Trevi Fountain

Directly in front of Trevi Fountain, awesome location. Old interiors, breakfast available with terrific view of fountain.Restaurants, cafes and shops everywhere. If you are staying on the top floor (level3) and it’s raining, prepare yourself for water to be dripping into your room. We had several leaks in the room, no matter we moved the bed, we were getting wet. It’s an old building and requires a lot of maintenance.

The air conditioning didn't work the whole time. We changed rooms on the last night and it wasn't much better but they gave us a fan. The vents in the bathroom were covered in a thick layer of dust. Would not stay here again.

Hotel Fontana is literally 10 small steps to Trevi fountain it is an old convent building which was great for us It is in a super location with hustle and bustle All the restaurants are at your convenience the restaurant for breakfast is small but perfect with amazing views of the Trevi fountain The staff are very thorough and helpful and always smiling almost like family I cannot fault this place

Quaint, historic European charm in an amazin location directly overlooking the famed Trevi Fountain. Small rooms, tiny elevator, but superb staff and rooftop bar and morning breakfast. Hint: If you are claustrophobic, book a first floor room for very high ceiling height.

The location is excellent since is in front of the Trevi Fontain. However, the rooms are very small, the A/C is regulated so it takes a while to make the room fresh, the food ok, the staff is friendly, but the installations have some room for improvement.

A very enjoyable stay

The hotel was comfortable and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice available. The locality of the hotel was superb- right outside the Trivia Fountain, with street markets on your doorstep.

Without a doubt the best location in Rome everything is walkable and the trevi fountain is literally 25 ft away from hotel entrance Fabrizio is amazing great help on everything Goes the extra mile Maria in the rooftop bar is unbelievable Camilla very helpful and resourceful

The location was perfect and the view can’t be beat. Definitely book a room with a Trevi Fountain view. The staff were very kind and welcoming. We will be staying here when we come back to Rome.

I enjoyed where the property was located and being able to see the immaculate Trevi Fountain right outside my window 24/7. Hotel Fontana has stores all around it and you have many great options for food and shopping in addition to cheap "tap and pay" public transport available. Another thing is the foutain offers great white noise which can be helpful for sleeping. Things I didnt like were the cleanliness of my room and how many tourists surrounded the fountain making it difficult to enter/exit the hotel. However, the most annoying thing was the staff always asking me my room number when entering the 3rd floor rooftop. It seemed like they didn't think I could be a guest at a hotel which I find disrespectful.
