The nation's capital, Rome, can be found around 100 kilometres to the southwest of Ripa.

The Museo Nazionale d'Abruzzo is in Ocre, 9 kilometres away. This well-known attraction is certainly worth the journey.

Torricella Sicura, 45 kilometres to the north, is a great day trip. You can use it as a port of call when stopping by Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Grazie, Cathedral of San Berardo and the F. Savini Archaeological Museum. If you'd like more convincing, other nearby sights include the University of Teramo and Area di Largo Madonna delle Grazie.
