Hotels in Riohacha

On the lookout for a snuggly bed and a hot shower in Riohacha? Regrettably, lastminute.com.au's database of Colombia hotels doesn't list any accommodation in the centre of Riohacha.

However, there's no need to lose your mind. Mayapo is located approximately 50 kilometres away and has some brilliant places to crash, including the Hotel Confort De La Guajira and Karin Hotel.

Unfortunately, there are only a few economical hotels for money-conscious travellers. Of these, Bona Vida Hostel is up there with the best.

85 kilometres to the west of Riohacha is Buritaca, which is home to Buritaca Beach. Buritaca offers a selection of great places to spend the night, including the Merecumbe Hotel and Playa Koralia. If you have plenty of time, consider visiting Guachaca, where you can spend a little time at Koralia Beach. Guachaca is located 95 kilometres to the west of Riohacha. Accommodation options in Guachaca include the Mendihuaca Caribbean Resort and Villa Maria Tayrona, a Kali Hotel.

Unless you're going to crash on the floor at Alfonso Lopez Pumarejo Airport, it might be wise to book some accommodation before you leave. The Tativan Hotel is pretty close by, or you could always travel to the centre of town. It's 95 kilometres away.
