This place is awesome. I would definitely recommend to stay here again and I would stay here if I ever come back here.

Clean, easy check in. Nice restaurant with good food.

Everything was great except the food was not as good.

Need to have big mobility. Very hot, but AC and fridge worked. No cooking facilities unless you book that room.

The property was off a beaten path and very quiet. It was the perfect spot for our honeymoon.

Our stay for our family of 4 at Aninga Lodge was fantastic. The room was clean and convenient. We spent a lot of time at the pool with the kids, they loved it, especially when the monkeys and toucans were hanging out in the trees. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only downside we found was the transportation between the hotel and Tortuguero town. There is a boat provided for the hotel every few hours, but it isn't often enough to be convenient. The other option is to take a taxi boat, but at $4/person it gets a bit expensive for a round trip for a family of 4. They could also do a better job of making sure their boat drivers look for you when you reserve a space on their boat. When we first arrived, we had scheduled a ride on the boat and they just told us to be at the main dock in Tortuguero 10 minutes in advance. We expected them to have a sign or at least call out our names or the name of the lodge. That didn't happen and the docks are busy so we had no idea which boat to get on. We ended up missing the boat.
