Simply and tastefully decorated and equipped with top quality bedding and bath textiles, you'll find all the amenities you need for a memorable vacation.

Mar Grande is a new, fully equipped apartment consisting of 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a kitchen and a living-dining room with a sofa bed and air conditioning.

The panoramic balcony and the view from the bedroom, living room and kitchen are undoubtedly the apartment's differentiating factor. Facing the Atlantic Ocean and the imposing and beautiful north coast of the island, the space invites you to enjoy a meal in the light of a magnificent sunset.

If you're passionate about nature walks and the trails of the green island, a 10-minute drive away you'll find the Salto do Cabrito and Lagoa do Fogo trails. At the end of the day, if you need to wash your clothes, there is a washing machine and dryer at your disposal.

We loved our stay at the Mar Grande apartment! Every aspect of our stay was everything you could hope for- from ease of booking and communication with the host team, the attention to detail regarding amenities & comfort level, to the most amazing view. What a sight! A beautiful view of the ocean & the beach cove out front, visible from every room! Another aspect we were thrilled with was secure underground parking with a designated spot. Our hosts were very gracious, & communication was clear & thorough. The secure apartment was spotless, well appointed & laid out, with nice attention to detail. The location of the apartment is great- overlooking the swimming pools & beach. Within walking distance are many restaurants, (shout out to Monte Verde restaurant, Oh Canadiano Pizzeria, & O Chocolatinho!) The grocery store, surfing mecca Santa Barbara beach, & the centre of town are also within walking distance. We have many wonderful memories here- we look forward to returning!

Loved Mar Grande - would absolutely stay again!

We loved our stay at Mar Grande. In fact, we’re staying in a flat in Terceira right now that makes me miss it. The flat was so perfect for us: the views were incredible, the flat was located in a great area with plenty of parking, there was plenty of natural light, and the kitchen was well stocked with kitchen equipment so I could cook real meals. And the shower? Amazing after an international flight from the U.S.I would be hard pressed to find any issues with Mar Grande - it could’ve been a bit cleaner and there was a patch of damaged plaster on the bedroom wall. On the latter, it is the Azores so living with dampness is normal.If we end up coming back to Sao Miguel, we would rent again.

Beautiful view, great space

The space worked perfectly for my husband and me; easy walk to the center of town, great view, easy parking. The building felt safe and secure, and the a/c was important, but a little hard to direct towards the bedroom. The man who checked us in was lovely, but the process would be a little smoother if you didn’t have to meet with a person to get in, as we didn’t have cell service, so we were unaware of changes to the plan and unable to contact him about our schedule, as well.
