This hotel was very helpful with us when our flights kept getting cancelled. The breakfast was fantastic, and we loved the location! Two grocery stores were just a few minutes away, where we got salad bars, local candies, etc. A pizza place is across the street, as is a taxi depot. While it's outside downtown, you get to be the last pickup for the day trips to the rest of the country (and Northern Lights), and the first dropped back off! The beds were very cozy, and the bathroom floors were heated tile. The only thing I disliked was the shower... no ledge to hold toiletries, much less prop up a leg for shaving, so you have to bend to the floor for each item (and I held the razor in my mouth for shaving, to avoid all the bending). But none of that is worth losing a star. It's a great choice for staying and I highly recommend it, as an avid world traveler!

Oddsson was fine. I wouldn’t say it was great. Walls could use some better soundproofing but also understand why there are ear plugs available in the room. No coffee maker in the room was disappointing. Breakfast was good and the cocktail hour staff (a lovely woman) was wonderful! Super friendly, helpful and just awfully nice, best part of the stay, for me.

Great stay! It’s in midtown, so not walkable to downtown Reykjavik but only a 5-10 min taxi ride. Free onsite parking was a must for those travelers with cars. Free amazing breakfast spread every morning, and option for cost-friendly simple meal in evening was a plus. Rooms were great and clean!

1. Very good location to join all kinds of Local Tour. 2. Possible to early checkin without extra cost. 3. Very good International Breakfast before you go for Glacier Hike etc. Only problem are the stairs at Entrance...Not easy to take 30in luggage up to the entrance
