Schladming is 30 kilometres from Reith and has a population of 5,000. When you're here, you'd be mad if you didn't have a gander at 8er Märchenwiesensessellift, Lärchkogel Südlift and SunJet. Hochwurzenschlepplift and Duisitzkar Lake are a few more which are sure to offer up some photo ops. There's an awesome selection of places to stay in Schladming, with the Hotel Pichlmayrgut and Apartmenthaus Hinkerhof topping out the list.

On the last flight to Reith? Absolutely beat? Then it's probably a good idea to grab some accommodation near the airport. The Laschenskyhof and the Airporthotel Salzburg are just short drives from W.A. Mozart Airport, 75 kilometres from the centre of town.

The room was excellent, offering stunning lake and mountain views from the 4th floor of Building 2. The accommodations were comfortable, well maintained, and truly the highlight of our stay. However, the overall service experience was disappointing. Aside from the shuttle driver, who was very helpful and assisted us with our luggage, most staff members appeared unfriendly and unhelpful. The hotel is spread across three buildings connected by steep rocky streets, and the absence of elevators made access challenging, particularly when carrying luggage. While the scenery and room quality were outstanding, the level of hospitality did not meet expectations. Unfortunately, it was not worth the 3.5-hour drive from Vienna for us to return.
