High heels or sandals? However you prefer to roll, you'll sure to love a trip to Inishnee, 13 kilometres away. With the Roundstone Ceramics and Alcock and Brown Landing Site to explore, you're not gonna be bored. Inishnee accommodation options are the Rossroe Lodge and Eldons Hotel & Restaurant. Alternatively, you could stay in Currywongaun, 14 kilometres to the northwest of Recess, where you can choose from the Connemara National Park Hostel and Cloverfox Connemara. Sitting 40 kilometres northeast of Recess is Westport, a regional centre with a population of 6,000.
