The Lodge staffing is superb. Very friendly. Very helpful. On this visit a dog started barking in the next room for quite a while around dinner time. One call to the front desk and the staff took care of it, so high praise for the staff! The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and sanitized, but the sink was very slow to drain. Unfortunately the walls between the rooms seem to be paper thin and you are able to hear pretty much everything going on in the next room and hallways. Guests in the hallway at 5am would do well to think about the other guests who may still be trying to sleep. although the courtesy shuttle to the Duke University Medical Complex is very helpful. Overall the accommodations are adequate, but the thin walls will make me hesitate to book again unfortunately,

Our stay was great. We had an appointment at Duke Cancer Center and the location was very convenient. All staff was very nice and helpful. The shuttle service was top notch. It was a pleasure chatting with Harry. We would definitely stay there again.
