If physically you're here but in mind you're living it up in Raglan, it's time to book that getaway. Raglan's centre is thin on accommodation, but you'll be able to crash in one of the 5 hotels within 10 kilometres of the action.
Don't panic if you're still on the hunt for somewhere to stay in Raglan. You can always have a look at the Foxgloves Bed and Breakfast, 25 kilometres away from central Raglan.
But don't just limit your sightseeing to Raglan. Take an extra day or two to explore some of the awesome attractions and activities that the wider North Island region offers. Don't even think of heading home without stopping at a few of the region's gorgeous beaches. Art museums, nature museums and history museums are also worth a look around. If the sun is shining (or even if it's not), you could also get out there and try out some popular local pastimes like snowboarding.
Rukuhia is another place where you can lay back and acquaint yourself with the room service menu. Sitting 40 kilometres east of Raglan, it's where you'll discover the Claudelands Park and the Mystery Creek Events Centre. If you'd like to stay in Rukuhia, look into The Narrows Landing and Hamilton Airport Hotel & Conference Centre. Or, you could consider staying in Huntly, 40 kilometres to the northeast of Raglan, where you can choose from the Hillside Hotel and Manor Views. If you stay in Huntly, set aside some time to visit Lake Hakanoa Walkway and the Turangawaewae Marae.
Cambridge can be found 55 kilometres away from Raglan and has a population of 15,000. When you're here, you'd be mad if you didn't have a look at the Chiddingfold Garden, Jubilee Gardens and the Cambridge Museum. Got another day up your sleeve? Check out what's going on at the Cambridge i-SITE Visitor Information Centre and Cambridge Farmers' Market. The Huntington Stables Retreat Accommodation and Cambridge Coach House are some great places to stay in Cambridge.
Unless you're going to pitch a tent at Auckland International Airport, it might be wise to book some accommodation. The Best Western BK's Pioneer Motor Lodge is close by, or you could always travel to the centre of town. It's 95 kilometres away.
