It is a large fine sand beach, surrounded by sand dunes. Many people come the weekend but it is very nice and quiet from Monday to Friday, even in August! There is a few "chiringuitos" to take the "cañas" on the beach and a wide variety of restaurants in the maritim promenade, wich is pedestrian and ideal for a walk after dinner or running first time in the morning. It is a very familiar tourism zone, only two or three hotels and many apartments.

Our second stay here and if anything it’s even better. They’ve done a refurb to the dining area and it’s lovely. The staff are welcoming and make sure you have the best stay possible. Located in Canet de Berenguer, Hotel AGH Canet is by the sea, a 1-minute drive from Raco de Mar Beach and 7 minutes from Horno Alto N.2.
Staff very friendly and efficient. Not so happy sharing pool and restaurant with 60 plus school pupils. Noise when eating was horrendous. Unlucky time to have visited this hotel. Check beforehand. Food good standard and variation.
