Holidays in Quesa

Awesome! Your leave's been approved. Now all you need to do is say see ya to your boss and book your ticket to Quesa!

The country's capital, Madrid, is situated about 290 kilometres to the northwest of Quesa.

One of the local area's most renowned attractions is the City of Arts and Sciences. You'll find it in Llocnou de la Corona, 45 kilometres northeast of Quesa.

Put aside some time for strolling along the beach and searching for washed up treasures at Postiguet Beach or Campello Beach.

The calming sounds of the natural world are waiting for you at Moorish Caves. It lies just 40 kilometres away, so you don't have to be stuck on the road all day. Sant Blai Ice Cave, 40 kilometres away, is another popular choice.

Don't just watch sport on the TV, live it at Plaza de Toros de Valencia! Located 50 kilometres away in Valencia City Centre, it's a great place to get your fix whether you’re cheering for the home or away team.

Are you into stopping by Xativa Castle and Plaza del Espanoleto? They're near the centre of Estubeny, 16 kilometres to the southeast. Alternatively, you could go to Càrcer. It's 16 kilometres to the southeast of Quesa and regarded for Collegiate Basilica of Xàtiva and the Museo del Almudin.

Want to explore La Torreta, Chiva Castle and the Fountain of the Twenty Sources? Then head to Chiva, 40 kilometres to the north. Ermita Virgen del Castillo de Chiva and Iglesia de San Juan Bautista are also close at hand and should be on your travel plan.

Whether you enjoy the opulence of Michelin stars or nibbling on a snack from a street stall, tasting the local food and drink is one of the best things about travel. So why not tingle your taste buds by tucking into some of the area's decadent offerings?

Curious about some of the surprises you'll discover on your dinner plate? There's a good chance they'll include artichoke, grapes or even both.

There's always a local meal or two you must try, and when you're in Quesa, paella (seafood on rice) is certainly one of them. Arròs negre (cuttlefish on rice with squid ink) is another typical dish that's an essential experience for food fans.

'Stressed' spelled backwards is 'desserts', and that's not just a coincidence. There's no more heavenly way to let your troubles melt away than with turron de alicante (nougat), a treat often found on dinner tables here.

Need something with a bigger kick? Then be sure to try alcoy coffee liqueur. Ask the barkeeper if it's tasty in any mixed drinks. If that fails, raise your shot glass and enjoy it neat!

Dedicated travellers often put in the effort to memorise a few expressions in the local tongue. They've come to realise that being able to interact with the locals isn't just useful, it's fun! First off the bat, try to get your tongue around '¡Hola!'. It means 'hello'. '¡Que pase un buen día!', which means 'have a nice day', is also rather common.

You can expect some excitement in the air leading up to the 12th of October. The locals will be preparing for National Day, a day of nation-wide celebrations.

"Hasta la vista" doesn't have to mean farewell for good. Why not put away a few European euros for when you come back?

Alicante International Airport (ALC), the nearest airport, is approximately 95 kilometres to the south from the middle of Quesa. Map out a route, pack your bag and set an alarm clock — and don't hit the snooze button too many times!
