Our stay at The House Hotel in Belfast was a bit disappointing overall. The hotel was somewhat difficult to find at first, as there were very few clear signs outside the building. The main issue for us was the “king bed,” which was actually two single mattresses pushed together, with one noticeably higher than the other. It made sleeping uncomfortable and wasn’t quite what we expected when booking a king room. We also noticed some dark spots on the wall above the pillows that made the room feel less clean and well maintained than we had hoped. While the location was convenient, the overall experience didn’t fully match the price or expectations we had for our stay.

Overall, a really nice stay. The self check-in didn't have any problems for me and was super easy to manage. The room was spacious and clean - very cozy! I booked the room directly over the bar with the discounted rate, and with earplugs, it wasn't bad at all, even on the weekend. One thing to note (which is in the fine print, but I didn't realize at first) is that there is no lift here, so be prepared to move your luggage up and down the stairs.

The property is fine, close to the university on a residential street - safe area to walk around. Breakfast was good - restaurant was closed on Monday night so there was limited choice in the bar. I was in the annex. There were no restrictors on the window so I wouldn't leave it open at night. The room was chilly and the bathroom was quite dilapidated. The kitchenette was handy (cooker, fridge) and there was a little table to eat or work at. The bed was comfortable and there was lots of hot water. It was fine but not 4*
