The Mold in the A/C is terrible. You can smell it in every restaurant. The elevator smell very bad. The pool are dirty too. This is my second time at RIU Punta cana and my last one. Food is average.

The place and property overall is beautiful and relaxing. However, the food is terrible. This ultimately makes the stars of the place significantly decrease in my opinion. We found bugs crawling on the food that was uneatable anyways. The “restaurants” on the property are also falsely advertised. We were told they close at 10 and we got there one night at 8:30 and they turned us away. A second restaurant looked our group up and down and the staff was so incredibly rude and said “this place is not for you” mind you, we were all dressed appropriately with the women in dresses and men in dress pants and shirts. Finally, the next night we got to a different “restaurant” at 6pm only to find out that it was also buffet style food. The workers were not very friendly and we also overheard them speaking spanish about someone in our group calling them fat. For a place that is all inclusive I believe that having good food is the most important part. Everything else about this place is nice from the drinks, the parties, and the bars. If you don’t care about eating terrible food then I would suggest this place for the ambiance, otherwise find someplace else that has the ambiance and better food.

When the cleaning crew was cleaning the room they left dirty towels & wash cloths in the room, we had to constantly call and ask for some. They only cleaned our room 1 time out of the 4 days we was there and only changed our Lien on the bed once

The RIU property appeared to be the most beautiful of all other local resorts. It was mostly kept clean. I noticed what appeared to be vomit circulating in one of the pools for 5 days. There was a lot of debris in the adult only pool with the bar. We reported that it shower head was improperly working but nothing was done to fix it. Other things not working in our room was the phone & a broken outlet in the bathroom. They fixed the outlet at least. House keeping did a great job of cleaning the room daily. There are several restaurants to code from. The best one was the steak house that you were required to stand in line for at least 30 minutes prior to it opening or you would not dine that day.

Hotel is beautiful in the outside but the rooms look old and they are not in good conditions, the food taste like nothing and the people that work some of them are nice but they almost have mad faces and atitud, they are always looking for you to give them tips on some way, pools are nasty and the complex doesn't have something to eat later than 9pm, you can not take food and they have strict rules in the restaurant, but promise the food was bad.have to put salt on everything just to feel something, and the desserts almost all of them taste like fridge. Never going back too it.

This resort is good for what I use it for which is to lead mission trips. It’s a safe and comfortable place to sleep but loud and very basic amenities. The staff isn’t as friendly as other places I have stayed in the area but it’s in a convenient location to where we need to be. The food is just ok. Lots of partying guests and indecent wardrobes. However it’s spring break season so this may not always be the case. It works just fine for the price and location.

Had a horrible stay here. Rooms were diagusting. Sheets were disarray and sink was clogged with water when I arrived in the roof. There was a hole in the bottle of the door, phone, kettle didn’t work. We got our room switch and in the new room the tv, kettle and phone didn’t work, there was marks on the sheets as well as tiny spriders on the bed. Yuck

the beach and the surrounding area are amazing, food was just ok and the room was not good at all. The rooms need some updates, for a five stars hotel lack of shampoo and conditioner and mold is unacceptable.
