First the positives: most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet on the hacienda side was good, the pools were nice. The negatives: the staff that we needed help from were not very nice, the food other than breakfast was horrible, the “rules” about holding pool chairs wasn’t followed by the staff so people would put their towel on a chair early in the morning and hold it all day, a lot of things were broken (doors, sinks, bathrooms), only 2-3 restaurants were open each day and reservations could only be made on the same day btwn 10-4, room service had a $15 delivery fee, and did I mention the food was AWFUL!!!

I didn’t like the wait time to get our room. We landed early 12:30pm and got to the hotel at 1pm check in time was at 3:30pm but they didn’t have a room available for us until 7:30pm. And there was no manager there to speak with, they couldn’t accommodate us and the staff at the front desk were worthless.

Honestly, I enjoyed the food and drinks at this hotel. Also, the staff were very kind and accommodating. I loved playing beach volleyball here. However, I had issues with a couple of things: 1. The hotel rooms need updating. My hotel room’s shower head was leaking so the water pressure was very low. The walls in my room had different patches of paint. My friend’s hotel room door would not always close fully. 2. The cleanings happen quite slowly. Someone else on my floor had left out their dirty and used room service dishes (which still had food on them). The plates and dishes were there from at least 10am to 6pm! The heat and humidity caused the smell to be unpleasant, and the food was eventually eaten by raccoons since it had been left out for so long.

We had a great week at The Hacienda at Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta. We stayed on the adult side so it was very peaceful but did spend some time at the Krystal Grand and appreciated that we had a choice. The property is very pretty and the beach is lovely. The food wasnt spectacular, but I was not expecting it to be. Servers were awesome! Great atmosphere.

We loved the adults only pool and servers at the pool , Luis was our guy all week and he was awesome! We spent our days at the pool and planned for dinners and evenings out on Malecon boardwalk and the romantico zone. Perfect vacation spot for us!

There are a lot of positives about the property such as the hard working people who try so hard to make you happy with scare resources. The location and beach are good but the shelves in our room were dusty, broken levers in shower, no hot water working for tub and no room safe, stained towels etc. Also not enough lounge chairs around the adult pool so people are racing out at 5 in the morning to secure chairs. Food is not great. The app that you need to use for the reservation system for the restaurants never worked and booking through the concierge never showed up at the restaurant so you’d show up for dinner to be kicked out. I hope new management of the property will improve the whole place. Again the people are great and work so hard. The New Year’s party dinner they put on was absolutely excellent

The room’s AC did not work, no safe either. Paper thin walls can hear neighbours clearly all night. Not enough pool chairs, lots are broken and it’s impossible to get one unless you wake up at 5-6 am to sit on them( if you leave the staff takes your stuff away). Food is very poor, never once had bacon in the morning as it was always empty and never filled. Always lines for the buffetts at dinner as at full capacity it can not handle it. The only good thing about the resort was the people, very hard working and happy. Definitely a sub 3.5 star resort. Would not return
