Our server Miguel was probably one of the best there very attractive and bartender Bristol great tooo besides that.... the girls at the front rude not friendly at all!! Our bed sheets dirty and the food at the buffets not good

The pictures displayed on Expedias website are no where close to what you get once you are there. Super unfriendly staff, absolutely no communication and lies were told to us the entire trip.

Staff is attentive, the pool is large, didn’t have problems finding pool or beach chairs. The food is average but the specialty restaurant was very good. I’ve been here several times, it’s a great place for a short stay. The kids club and water park is fun for the kiddos.

This trip was a total disaster due to a rainstorm the first night there. 80% of the resort was shut down and nothing was done to rectify it. Left with a small extremely overcrowded pool, very poor cantina food and shabby AC. Left after 1 full day. No refunds or transfers offered.

everything was almost great, great food, great customer service and the room was clean. we stayed main building with the ocen view and every morning our water pressure went from minimal to none, i complained every day but got the same answer"sorry we are having problems with our pipes and we're working on them" B.S....our last night water stopped before we woke up and no one was able to shower or flush the toilet and to top it off, the electricity went out and had no A.C from 2am and we checked out that morning and went somewhere else. We had family in the other side of the building and they had no issues, guess it was just our building. wouldn't stay here again... if i didnt have does issues, i would have rated it better.

I had not been to Puerto Vallarta in over 20 years. What I found was not the warm, welcoming, friendly hospitality that I was used to when visiting Mexico. Instead I found the front desk, bartenders and bell service staff of Canto del Sol to be rude, not friendly, annoyed when questioned, not informative, like it was a nuisance to be helping guests. With that said, the waiters at the buffet and the restaurants were some of the best service I have ever received. I also enjoyed the food, which was very traditional foods you would expect in Mexico. My housekeeper was also very sweet. Even though the resort was on the beach, the property was very close to the shoreline so the beach could get quite crowded with not enough room for guests. Overall based on my experience I would not return to this resort.

It was good hotel was clean all inclusive buffet in the morning dinner and lunch one main pool two other pools and a kids pool right by the beach me and my family had an awesome time. Staff was nice overall good experience.

Good location with Oxxo and pharmacies right outside. Gorge at the bar was excellent. The Italian restaurant had one of the best beef fillets I’ve ever had with excellent service from our waiter Martin. The ceviche was delicious and snack bar was decent. Overall a lack of quality liquor, even with our VIP upgrade. The shower barely had any water pressure and took forever to heat up. No fridge in room and they do not restock the water bottles in the room, we got 2 bottles for the entire stay. The building is showing its age and the buffet wasn’t bad but it wasn’t really that good either. What sets this place apart is the excellent service from all the personnel working there. What brings it down is the building condition and the lack of reservations available for the dinners. The lounge music at the lobby bar at night was a nice atmosphere. Don’t know that I would return.
