Staff was good...mountain view rooms are a long walk to the ocean. Food was mediocre at best. Variety was lacking same thing in buffet day to day. Al a carte was better but reservations fill up fast. Cleaning rooms was basic, 2 weeks and never cleaned the patio area once we had to do that ourselves. Angela on the wait staff in the pool area was excellent. Quick, fun and loved the joking around.

I had several things not work in my room the telephone didn’t work. The TVs were old and the speakers were blowing. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working. The tub wouldn’t run without the shower running at the same time and it wasn’t running properly so it wouldn’t fill up. They came to fix these things, but when we came back, I guess they left WD-40 in our bedroom and her five-year-old had it so they could be better cleaning up for sure they still didn’t fix any of the problems after they left all the same problems are still existed. All of their rooms. Definitely need upgrading. The property is amazing. The food is amazing but your rooms need to be like completely re-hauled.

I really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. Fresh bread & high quality drinks. Karaoke bar around the corner was awesome- staff recommendation. Entertainment was awesome - juggler, fire show & clown were our favourite night time and pool volleyball all the trivia by the pool really made our experience more fun. Great mix of families , 20-30’s and seniors who all were friendly. Some locals on resort who were much less friendly but it is what it is. Locals on the malecon were a treat.

I loved everything about the hotel. However, there was mold in our room and I’m highly allergic so that put a damper on it. As long as I wasn’t in the room, I was perfect. The staff was amazing very clean. Just a wonderful time.

All inclusive amenities not as advertised. Grounds were very dated and in need of refurbishment. They did not communicate the need to book a restaurant a week in advance. Ridiculous. Very poor communications and the staff seemwd apathetic, at best.

I liked that there were different sections with a pool, so if you felt like having a quiet pool day, you could hang out at the mountainside pool and still be close to a bar and i loved the ceviche! It was a bummer that the beach right out front was a steep drop and too dangerous, but walking down a bit it was better. It was really clean, but a little older and showing its age. There were a lot of eating options, but sometimes difficult to get a reservation. The surf and Turf was my favorite. The buffet was hit and miss as most buffets are. Staff are super friendly and the overall stay was good.

Something unique to this property was the fact that I was gouged $55 to stay on the property for 2 hours before my transportation arrived. Maybe this is standard practice here, but every other resort I’ve stayed at I was welcome to stay until I was to go to the airport. I will not be back to Canto Del Sol and would highly recommend anyone considering this location to reconsider.

Our toilet leaked the whole time, bathroom sink would not drain properly and our balcony slider was broken, other guests stealing towels from pool chairs , the staff was not friendly, exception of very few. 10 days of not a good experience. Worst stay in 15 years.

This is the worse all inclusive property we’ve been to ever , we will never go back there and don’t recommend it to anyone, pictures posted by them are mostly taken when the place looked nice , no parking on site , it’s not limited like they say , unsafe and broken entry to hotel holes in the ground everywhere right in front of the hotel which can be easily taken care of , poor safety and treatment note : there was multiple men partying in the room next door all night until 5:30 am which resulted in a problem with security and we had no sleep our first night , on check out we had to pay an additional $1000 pesos for tow towels that were stolen from our seats near the pool ! They wouldn’t believe us and they called my wife a liar, unprofessional and rude staff no words to express how I regret going there

Pros: -Facility was very clean -Pools were awesome and clean (the main pool it was hard to get chairs at but the other pools seemed to be less busy) -Staff were friendly, helpful, and very attentive -You get 3 tickets to book the restaurants (we did Italian, Mexican, and surf & turf) and they were great -AC in room worked great and lots of hot water -There are stores right across the street and it’s about a 30 minute walk to downtown Cons: -Lots of people on the beach trying to sell you stuff all day long -Buffet food selection was very very limited (if you didn’t book one of the restaurants you were limited to buffet only) -Everything was quite outdated and some of the beach chairs didn’t work properly -Beach was ok, but quite Rocky. You’d have to walk down in order to find a good spot to swim -Not many shows at night (mostly karaoke) so not too much to do past 8:30 pm **Make sure you bring a reusable cup as they won’t allow open cups in the pool area

Close to downtown and the Malacon for sight seeing and shopping, right on the beach ….but because all beaches in this state are public access you can’t move without being harassed by people selling their wares but there are so many options like parasailing, jet skiing, massage right on the beach, hair braiding and lots of trinkets and souvenirs (all at extra cost as they are not provided by the resorts) There were not a very large variety of food at the diner buffet so my picky eaters were “starving” lol but the staff were so friendly and helpful one used his own phone to order a pizza for my kids Our room was clean but the couch hide-a-bed was in such disrepair it was unusable. Ac worked well , beds and pillows were comfortable. Showers actually Had super hot water. Our room was the farthest away possible from everything it felt like we had to walk to a totally different hotel Based on past experiences in tropical climate we expected musty smells and stinky plumbing but we were pleasantly surprised by the lack of smell SUNSCREEN! Use lots often ! if you think you’ve used enough I guarantee you haven’t we didn’t use enough and got badly burned so swim shirts were our life saver after that ( the shop straight across from the main lobby had the best price and lots of options ) Anyway despite the complaints of my picky husband and kids I enjoyed my stay

Large resort with awesome beach front and accessibility. Great amenities. Property a bit older, furniture in our room older and dirty. The food was decent. Drinks were good. Kids pool area is awesome.
