This was my second stay at the Omni Providence. While the hotel is decent, it’s lacking some basic amenities to justify being a 4 star hotel. While the room bathrooms are spacious, there’s no fan or circulation of air which can be problematic. Also half the elevators are out of service, so ended up having to wait upwards of 15-20 minutes in a crowd of guests every time I needed to go up to my room. On the positive side, the location and being attached to the Providence Mall is a highlight if you’re looking for convenience.

This is my first ever review: I have stayed in many Omnis and this was by far the worst. Upon checking in I discovered they had given away the double bed room we had booked for the two of us. I was offered either a king with a “free” rollaway or I could find a different hotel. I found the staff to be rude or indifferent both at check-in and out. The air conditioning didn’t work (it was either 66 degrees or off as confirmed by bellman), food and trash stayed undisturbed in the hallways and even main stairs for the entirety of our three night stay. The hallway ceiling had collapsed and the drywall remnants stayed stacked for two of our three nights. Trash blew like tumbleweeds outside and street racers continued all night each night. This property possibly used to be nice but if visiting Brown or Providence I’d suggest elsewhere. I found few redeeming qualities for what usually is a nice chain.
