First of all the area is beautiful! Next, the location is second to none! Villa la Tartana is only steps away from the beach, which is super convenient for dining, and getting off and on the ferries. At the hotel, Alfonso at the front desk is the most wonderful person you will ever meet. He went out of his way for us on more than one occasion to find us a Ferry when most were not running, copy bus schedules for us, help us with our luggage, arrange a private driver, etc. He’s just a lovely person. Next, there’s Maria. She makes the most wonderful scrambled eggs and fresh orange juice. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and the choices are unbelievable. We especially love their sliced tomatoes and fresh buffalo mozzarella! Last, the rooms are just delightful. Most of the rooms we stay in are too dark to even see inside our luggage. This room was light and bright, and the mattress didn’t feel like it had been there 20 years. We feel so blessed to have found this hotel.

What a find this was! The staff was beyond friendly. Made you feel so welcome and so very helpful. Location was prime! Tucked in but also in the middle of everything and just a few steps to the beach. Breakfast was great. I highly recommend this place:)

We stayed there for 5 nights. First of all, the location can not be better. It is literally right next to the most recognizable church in Positano. We were actually able to see our room from many pictures we took of Positano. Second, it comes with breakfast which is very helpful. We usually have a pretty hearty breakfast and spend the entire day exploring the surrounding and don’t have another meal until dinner. Third, Lorenzo who is the front desk helper is a god sender. He will tell you in detail about bus routes, restaurants and other helpful information. Overall we had a good time even though the 5 nights stay set us back almost 2400 euros. We still recommend this hotel.

I can’t begin to say how wonderful this property was. Starting with the communication from Alfonzo prior to our arrival to arranging a porter on our last day. Every interaction was a pure pleasure. Our morning cappuccino in the dining room, overlooking the bay was always delicious. The staff was always helpful with a smile. I absolutely recommend this hotel. It is one of the last hotels at the bottom of the vertical city that is accessible by porter cart. We were very thankful for this the morning we left at 5:30am.

Exceptional Stay

My husband and I stayed at Villa La Tartana back in May of this year. We had an absolutely wonderful experience! The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The view from our balcony was beautiful! The property is in a perfect location where there is easy access to shops, restaurants, and the beach without excessive walking uphill. We will definitely be coming back to stay here in the future!

A hidden gem in the heart of Positano

A hidden gem! Beautiful hotel in the heart of Positano but away from the crowds. Loved the private balcony overlooking the harbor as well as the additional sunroom to enjoy the beautiful views from inside. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful.

This B&B is such a gem! It’s conveniently located by the ferry and beach, just a 2 min walk from the beach. The staff was so kind and friendly they made the stay absolutely wonderful especially as a solo traveler I would 1000% stay here again. The food was also very delicious and the staff was always ready to help. I love Villa La Tartana!
