You'll come across some great things to see and do in Nuwara Eliya. Lover's leap Waterfall, Galway Forest Reserve and Pidurutalagala are up there with the best. This regional hub is situated 95 kilometres west of Polwatta and has a population of 26,000. Holy Trinity Church and Victoria Park are a couple more attractions which are sure to offer up some photo ops. Nuwara Eliya offers places to stay that should suit everyone, such as the Heritance Tea Factory and Amaya Langdale.

Unless you're going to set up camp at Batticaloa Airport, it's probably a good idea to book some accommodation before you leave. The Riviera Resort is pretty close by, or you could always travel into Polwatta's centre. It's 55 kilometres away.
