When chucking a sickie becomes way too simple, it's time to abandon the corporate cubicle and say hello to Plepi!

It lies 70 kilometres to the southwest of Athens, the capital city of Greece.

Take a leisurely stroll among the sights and sounds of the ocean at Kavouri Beach or Spetses Beach.

Break out on an adventure to some nearby natural sights. 11 kilometres out of Plepi, Katafyki Gorge is waiting to be explored. Didyma Caves, 17 kilometres away, is another brilliant place to kick back and unwind.

When it comes to skiing, there are some lucky people who are able to slide graciously down any incline. For others, staying on two feet is enough of a challenge. Regardless of your skill level, you're sure to love the fresh, fluffy snow at Mainalon Ski Resort.

You'll find even more just down the road. Troizinia, 11 kilometres to the north, is popular for Poros Town Clock Tower and the Poros Shell Museum. Though, if Crusader Castle and Dardiza Beach sound better to you, travel 12 kilometres west from Plepi to Ermionida.

Heading to Nafplio? This place is 50 kilometres to the west. If you're setting up base here, grab a map and circle Komboloi Museum, Castle of Bourtzi and Acronafplia. Also consider stopping in at Fortress of Palamidi and Kolokotronis Park.

To truly experience a place is to taste its food and drink, so get set to gnaw, nibble, sip and swig your way across Argolida. The only thing you need to bring with you is a robust appetite!
