We booked three rooms, and unfortunately, all of them had issues. While the thermostats were adjustable, they didn’t actually function; it was either freezing or we had to turn the air off entirely. In two of the rooms, the TVs didn't work, and in the third, the toilet was leaking.
We were also disappointed that our group was separated. Two of us were placed in Building 10, which was far from ideal. We could hear everything—the nightly entertainment and the boats on the river—so it didn't feel secluded or peaceful at all. Additionally, one of our rooms lacked a balcony.
The dining experience was another low point. One person in our group of seven got food poisoning. The reservation system for the a la carte restaurants is frustrating, and the food quality was questionable; even at the steakhouse, our waiter was rude and seemed frustrated by simple requests. Furthermore, getting a spot at the beach was a struggle, requiring us to be out by 7:00 AM just to secure a chair.
Overall, the stay was decent because we loved the animals and the beach itself, but the room maintenance and service left a lot to be desired.
