Nice for a quick trip into town

Went down to buy something from 'convenience market' and the damn thing wouldn't work to 'self-check-out' went over to the desk to ask how to buy stuff and he said you had to call the number on the machine - excuse me? what the hell kind of convenience is that if you can't even buy anything at your 'self-check-out'? What happened to REAL customer service. Room was nice, bed wasn't terrible - was kind of noisy but it was a big event in town can't say much about that.

Great staff at the hotel

My husband and I stay at this hotel for the Pittsburgh marathon weekend. The hotel was at the central location for the marathon event. Although there was a large crowd, the hotel staff handled everything very well. We are very impressed!

ACDC show!

Was here for the ACDC concert right across the river. Hotel is at excellent location. Valets were awesome. Rooms are dated, but clean and comfortable.

The Wyndham Grand is conveniently located minutes away from the downtown core as well as the major sports stadiums. The rooms and facilities were clean and elequent. Parking for large vehicles is somewhat of an issue, so parking will defintely need some planning in the future. Otherwise, will defintely stay there again.

The staff was super nice and accommodating. Check-in is 4PM but they were able to get us in early by 11AM. Everything was clean and fresh inside, did not look tired. Super convenient location. I think the only issue for some may have been if they used valet parking. It piled up a bit. There should be signage how/where to park as the parking structure is separate from the hotel. But, parking is close and convenient if you knew where to go and avoid valet parking.

Pros-Staff was wonderful. Lobby area nice. Location perfect. Great view from the 15th floor. Cons- Room was dated and needing some TLC. Bathroom was tiny as well. Overall not a bad stay.

The hotel was a less than 10 minute walk to PNC park. Also in walking distance to many places to eat downtown. Had a beautiful of the river, bridges and heinz field out of my hotel window. One of my all around better experiences while traveling!

Below average stay

For a Wyndham property is is date and the rooms were somewhat dirty. We found food from the previous guest on the floor and the shower had mold. Certainly not what I expected! I will give Kudos to the staff very friendly and helpful. The parking situation was a disaster also. I won't be staying here again!

Overall, the stay was great! The building itself could use some upkeep in some ways, but nothing too serious. Peeling wallpaper at the elevators, the bathroom door was somewhat broken, the phone didn't seem to work, but other than that, it was great. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Valet was a great service, even with two private events going, they were friendly and efficient.
