Location was great, the hotel too. I ate at the hotel and ordered room service one morning. It was mediocre at best. Room service was especially not good. The best thing on the plate was the toast. Pretty sad for a French hotel.

Perfect location if you want to walk in downtown and near all shopping and eating areas. However, parking is only valet and costs $60/night. The breakfast is not good, not worth your money!

Review of Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square The hotel itself is very clean and the staff are courteous, but I did not feel the same level of hospitality that I have experienced when traveling abroad. My suite was nicely decorated, spacious, and comfortable, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the dining experience was a real disappointment. The restaurant had only one waiter, and the service was very poor. Room service was even worse—they consistently got the order wrong. The pancakes were undercooked, the toast was drenched in butter despite clear instructions, and twice they brought the wrong cereal. It was frustrating to deal with such avoidable mistakes. Another point of disappointment was the so-called “garden.” The hotel’s description mentions one, but in reality there isn’t. When I asked about it, staff said booking sites had incorrect information, yet it seems the hotel hasn’t taken the time to correct these listings. Overall, while the rooms were comfortable and the property clean, the service—particularly in dining—was far below expectations. Considering the cost, I do not feel my stay was worth the price.

Staff was nice at check in. However the room was terrible. Took a while to find our room because the room was behind a door that wasn’t labeled. Room 1406 is behind another non labeled door. Like it is part of another room. Problem with this room every time people leave the other room you hear the door close. Then another door slam again because of the secondary door. The a/c and temp regulator does not work properly. Thea/c does not turn off and the temp variance is extreme. Too hot then too cold. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed because of the noise and temperature issue. I don’t write reviews but this issue has to be addressed and people need to know.
