It's situated 230 kilometres to the northeast of Washington, the country's capital.

There are some iconic attractions in the local region. For instance, only 40 kilometres west of Pemberton is Camden. From here, you'll be in a terrific spot from which to check out Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell Center.

Take a picnic chair for a relaxing lunch by the water at Ocean Beach or Ortley Beach.

Take some deep breaths of fresh air and admire the natural beauty of Tyler State Park. It sits 40 kilometres away from Pemberton. You can also experience more peace and quiet at Neshaminy State Park, 25 kilometres away.

Be sure to pack some blue and white clothes so you can support the local baseball team, the Camden Riversharks, at Campbell's Field. Located 40 kilometres away in Mount Laurel, the stadium is also the home ground of the Rutgers-Camden.
