I couldn’t sleep well as the pillows (down I think) didn’t have enough stuffing. Im also used to a toothbrush and shower cap at least as I chose airport hotel for quick access to our flight and was expecting these basic amenities as my bags were packed ready to go. I did find this disappointing.

What should have been a relaxing stay for one evening was made stressful by the hotel receptionist informing me that no trains would be running from Gatwick into the city the morning after. I then spend hours of the evening figuring out potential alternative routes out of Gatwick in order to make my train back home. Turns out when I left early to check the train availability, only some of the trains, specifically the Gatwick Express wasn’t running and that Southern would be running alternative, longer routes - info I already knew before my stay. Everything else about the stay was fine but this misinformation effectively ruined what should have been a relaxing evening and morning prior to my trains back home

I had an early flight and so stayed the night before. The room was excellent…..very comfortable bed with crisp white linen! And quality shower products in the bathroom. A 7min walk to departures.

We were a table of six and the restaurant took over an hour to serve our evening meal we were sat there for ages while people who came after us got their main meal the fish and chips we ordered however it took over an hour from receiving drinks and some bread to receiving our meal and I was with my 86 year old mother who wanted to get some sleep before her early morning flight. We arrived at the restaurant at 8pm and didn’t get our meal until after 9:30pm, shocking.
