Alexandroupoli is another place where you can kick back and order up room service like a boss. Sitting 35 kilometres southeast of Passos, it's where you'll discover the Natural History Museum of Alexandroupoli and the Ecclesiastical Art Museum of Alexandroupoli. If you want to visit Alexandroupoli, consider the Grand Hotel Egnatia and Plaza Hotel. Alternatively, you could stay in Smolyan, 90 kilometres to the northwest of Passos, where you'll find the Kiparis Alfa Hotel & Spa and Hotel Crystal. The Historical Museum and Planetarium are some of the most popular sites to experience when you're in Smolyan.

Make your way 100 kilometres west and you'll come across Kavalla, a regional centre with a population of 54,000. While you're checking out this neck of the woods, you'll be able to hang your camera 'round your neck and get your tourist on at the Institute Mohamed Ali, The Castle of Kavala and Municipality Museum Kavala. Panagia Quarter and the Archeological Museum of Kavala are a couple more sights that are sure to offer up some envy-inducing photo ops. There is a good number of hotels and accommodations in Kavalla, with the Imaret and Lucy Hotel coming in at the top of the list.
