Paris charm

This was such a cute apartment style hotel - absolutely perfect for our Paris trip with two kids. The room was super clean and fully stocked. The kitchenette was exactly what we needed. Location near the Louvre on a side street was perfect. Would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel is nice, the rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly. It’s right next to the Louvre and within walking distance to many other attractions. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes close by. The room was comfortable and having a well equipped kitchenette was nice. We would definitely stay at La Clef again.

Very nice room with living area and nice kitchen. Lovely decor. Newly renovated. V nice staff. Only 2 problems: the pillows were uncomfortable and the street noise was v bad. We were on the third floor and were woken up two days at 7 AM by Construction. Also, Friday night there were drunk people yelling and loud music until 5 AM. Difficult to sleep. The hotel is on a busy square.

Beware booking this hotel

Beware! I prepaid for my room weeks in advance, and paid a premium for the location. They sent me an email a day before my arrival, stating that they overbooked the hotel and moved me to the Le Clef Tour Eiffel, in an area of town that was much more inconvenient. They refused to offer me any compensation in any way - no free breakfast, no room upgrade, nothing. I was shocked by this treatment and lack of any customer service for a problem they admitted was solely their fault. And their mistake cost me extra in time and transportation costs. I had stayed at the Le Clef Louvre on a previous trip and loved the location. But they won’t guarantee you a room, even if you pay them in advance.
