Cyprus Beach Stay

Ran into some problems when the fridge didn't work. Took several tries to get them to replace it. In addition, the TV showed a picture that explained that you could connect to it with a HDMI, which I had. It didn't work and the front desk wasn't able to help. Didn't understand what I was talking about.

Pool lot smaller than it actually looks on the photo, but adequate enough and as on the beachfront, you can always pop in the sea! Service great, had a couple of issues on arrival with our room, but they sorted everything as soon as possible and were always polite and courteous. Have to say the maid service for our room 621 was not what I would expect from this level of hotel, but one bad egg doesn't spoil an omelette!! The spa was lovely!

Perfectly pleasant, could find better

As part of our booking we were informed to expect a welcome drink on arrival which we did not receive and a 20% food and drink voucher which we did. We were told we could use the voucher at any of the hotel bars and restaurants which proved to be a problem throughout our stay as this was clearly not communicated as anywhere we tried to use it we were informed we could not. The receptionists on arrival were perfectly pleasant and informed us that we had been given a room upgrade so we were over the moon. The room was lovely up on the 6th floor, not much of a view from the balcony but we were certainly not fussed by that. The only issue we had with the room was that no matter what temperature we set the shower too it would have extreme changes in temperature that were brief but semi-regular and meant the showers were not relaxing. The room was cleaned daily apart from once which we were unsure as to why but the cleaners were very pleasant and helpful. The drinks throughout our stay were lovely, particularly the frozen Bellini, would highly recommend and there was one particularly sweet and enthusiastic woman working at the bar who was the highlight of this hotel alongside the spa. She could not do enough for you and her enthusiasm was unmatched, some of the staff could take a leaf out of her book. The hotel is right up against the beach which was lovely and the pool was often quiet, again, lovely but certainly cold enough to wake us up and sober us up. The spa is a must

Stayed on the 6th floor deluxe sea view and well worth the upgrade, large room kept clean and modern. Provided with new towels and toiletries each day. Bar and kitchen staff very friendly. Reasonably priced drinks and plenty of seating throughout the property. Only thing that could be improved is the shower facilities in the gym.

The staff were excellent. The hotel itself was clean enough, the quality of the food was terrible and cheap. Most of what was advertised was not open/available. The hotel was pretty much shut off to paying guests for a wedding. When raising a complaint the receptionist got very defensive and argumentative so there was no point in trying to talk about it.

We were given a room in the basement of the hotel. To access the room we had to use “staff only” corridors but were told to ignore this. The room was next to the kitchen and was on a thoroughfare for the housekeeping trolleys. We were kept awake until gone midnight by the noise of trolleys constantly passing our room, the door had light coming in all round the frame so there was no soundproofing to reduce this noise. At 0630 we were then awoken by the sound of the kitchen coming to life, with crashing of crockery and cutlery which continued for the rest of the morning fairly continuously. We only stayed two nights, we moved to a better room for the second night but it seriously ruined our stay and I don’t think the hotel should be offering this as a room, especially not as a premium offering….apparently I took a room downgrade to move into the actual hotel and not stay down a service corridor!!!
