Great views, but worn-out apartment – be prepared!
The positives:
The ocean view was absolutely stunning – a real highlight! The apartment itself is spacious with two good bedrooms, decent beds, and two extra sleeping spots in the hallway. Cleanliness was generally good, though not everything was spotlessly clean, which was a bit disappointing.
The negatives:
The photos on the website do not reflect how worn-out the apartment actually is. I know several people who simply would not stay in an apartment in this condition. I travelled with my 30-year-old daughter, and while we personally could live with the wear and tear given the great views and generous size, my girlfriend would only have been okay with it for one or two nights – not for a longer stay.
The dishwasher was impossible to get working properly – dishes actually came out dirtier than they went in. It is clearly very old. We also found it a bit cheap that there were only two rolls of toilet paper (one per bathroom) and no extras provided – a few extra rolls would cost almost nothing. Similarly, there were no basic spices or salt and pepper in the kitchen. We ended up leaving some behind for the next guests. On a positive note, coffee was available to start the day, which was appreciated.
Overall:
I can recommend this apartment if you go in with the right expectations and are prepared for a tired, worn-out space. The management could really invest in some updates and new furnishings – it would make a big difference fo
