Pros: Location is decent; safe with on-site parking and good views of the lagoon. Restaurants within walking distance. Staff (Roger, I think) was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was simple but was brought up to our balcony which was a nice touch. The shower worked (our friend’s in another room didn’t) and we had plenty of hot water. Beds were comfortable. Cons: the property is dated; the toilet seat was broken and didn’t fit properly. It was quite the challenge to use the toilet. There were quite a few bugs (tiny ants mainly) by the window in the shower. There was quite a bit of road noise. This was kind of unexpected given how small this town is and the location of the hotel, but it was a challenge sleeping due to cars and motorcycles passing at pretty much all hours of the night. I recommend a sleep mask and ear plugs. There also was a common area right next to our room and several guys were out there partying pretty loudly until about 1am. We were in the front room upstairs on the right if you are looking at the hotel from the street. Bottom line: you get what you pay for. Was it the worst place I’ve ever stayed, no. If I come back to Rio Lagartos would I stay here again? Probably not. I think there are better options and I would be willing to pay a little more next time.

We would return to this hotel. Staff or nice, room was clean and the location is walkable to anything you need.

Great

A very nice place to spend the night while visiting Rio Lagartos and Loss Colorados. We got an ocean view and it was worth it. The room is comfortable and we slept well enough after the Saturday night celebrations stopped. It’s a bit tough for parking and the shower has little pressure, but the staff were super friendly and drinks and food was on point. All in all a nice stay.

Comfy bed and nice en suite. Great location. Staff not the friendliest!

Beautiful property and with the rooms being clean and comfortable. We attended a brunch on the Sunday representing Yucatan foods which was outstanding. Definitely would recommend and return to this hotel.
