The room had a odor of mold the ceiling had stains where the roof had leaked before to put it bluntly. There was a lot of other things wrong too. I would not stay there again. I do not recommend this place.

I was expecting this hotel to be a dive, based on reviews. When I arrived, it looks nothing like a dive. My hotel room was very nice, nothing about it was even remotely bad. I did find baby roaches & they were always in the throes of death which meant the rooms were fumigated. You needed to ask to have your room cleaned by housekeeping service. I didn't really need it, as I had a short stay. I do wished I could have used the pool cuz the pool (they had a kids pool, as well); the lobby was beautiful, and the hotel property was very nice. Some areas showed a little wear, but nothing that deserves all the bad reviews that it gets. Only the staff at the desk Monday early morning (when I was checking out) was a little nonchalant, as compared to all the other staff that I met from Thursday to Sunday, who are very friendly friendly and accommodating. I was also surprised to learn that they actually give out free toiletries at the desk - like shampoo, lotion and shaving cream. So for me, this two-star hotel, from my experience, was actually 3 1/2 Star. The ice machine didn't work at one point, but it was fixed very quickly. But Travelodge by Wyndham in Palm Springs, California is not a two-star hotel in my opinion, not based on my personal experience.

Welcome was nice, but first room smelled like PEE!! GROSS!! Room 2: Power outlets and some lamps did not work and I wasn't going to move furniture for my CPAP. I was told that if I had actually moved the sheets I wouldn't get a room bcse they had to sell it. That revenue was more important, but repairs were still not being made. The owner is basically letting this place fall apart. Room 3 was fine, but was annoyed that my concerns seemed to be an inconvenience to the staff that were scared their boss would be mad at them. Well, boss - FIX YOUR HOTEL!! I get it, it was cheap and I needed a quick stay that was close. But, this was NOT worth it. the place is being held up with glued furniture, wall paper, fixtures, etc. Stay somewhere else.

You would think for $90 per night the property would be in better condition...all over paint chipping, wet worn carpet with metal edgeing on stairs, old cracked grout and caulk in bathroom. Not pleasant at all.

The property can use an update, both interior and exterior. Bathtub in our room seemed to be painted multiple times, and some pieces of paints are already gone. AC was quite noisy, and mattress/linens felt old.

The place was quite clean and had many amenities found in more upscale places. This said, the bathroom needed some renovation (holes filled in door and new caulking around tub).

I didn't like the bugs. I didn't like how the room smelled. I didn't like the rotted out moldings in the bathroom. I felt creepy taking a shower. Never again. We changed rooms, but there still were bugs in the room we changed to. I believe they were cockroaches, but we don't have a lot of them in the Pacific Northwest. Whatever they were - they were creepy.
