Property was central for walking to everything. Pub oppposite caused noise late at night AND we had lorries loading stage equipment from nearby theatre for 2 hours until 12.30am. This happens many times a week the roadies told us.
The walls were paper thin & the windows single glazed so not only outside noise kept us awake but other guests talking & tv on until 4am!
The price we were charged £330 for 2 nights, was not warranted.
We stayed in room 4 at Ali Inn and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. My wife woke up with multiple bites on her back and arm, consistent with bedbug bites. When we inspected the bed, we found several insects among the sheets.
We placed the insects in a plastic bag as evidence and went to reception in the morning to report the issue, but there was no one available at the time. We also took photos of both the bites and the insects.
This kind of situation is unacceptable, as it presents a serious health and hygiene concern. We expected better care and responsibility from the hotel.

The room was nice and clean. Super nice area to be in Oxford super convenient! But there was this intense and strange smell as soon as one enters the reception. The downstairs smelled bad. But the room did not have any of the smell and was fine.
Man on reception was friendly. Unfortunately my room wasn't what I booked (I was supposed to have a double bed, not two singles). Room was dirty as well with stains on the walls. Incredibly noisy from before 5am as well.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
The bed had bed bugs and I was woken at midnight covered in bed bugs and bed bug bites.
The bathroom, shower head and ceiling was grimey and overall dirty.
The noise outside was very loud and I got very little sleep due to general noise and delivery drivers banging and talking.
The manager was extremely rude when I spoke to him and was SHOUTING at me down the phone when I was discussing the bed bug issue. He point blank refused to give a refund for the stay.
A terrible terrible business and management.
DO NOT STAY HERE.
Chosen purely on price and location namely cheap and central. City centre so expect it to be noisy at night. Currently building work going on opposite so noisy early morning. Keys collected from polite person at desk on arrival. No one there in morning but not an issue. Narrow staircase if u have heavy luggage. Room clean. Kettle, Hair dryer, iron. Bedding clean. Bathroom clean. Mould around shower but not a game changer. Fire extinguishers in hallways. No fire exit found other than main staircase. Cheap, City centre location, city centre noise, Room clean. Fulfilled our brief cheap and central.
Room was comfortable and both room and en-suite were clean, and the stay was very good value for money. However, my room faced the street and even with the window closed I was disrupted several times during the night from noises outside (e.g. waste collection) so if anyone is a light sleeper I would suggest requesting a room not facing the street! Obviously the hotel itself is limited in their ability to rectify this.
Shower broken, kettle filthy , one chipped saucer one missing altogether.
Lampshade missing just a bulb hanging down.
Quilt ripped, general decore poor and needs refreshing, and an iron burn in the mingle of the carpet
Really not acceptable for £175 a night

Rooms were cute. Stairs to room were narrow & was glad we were on the first floor. TV had poor picture quality. Could hear people talking outside on the street.
