Basic and dirty

The concept of this hotel is smart. However it would not accept any of our credit cards at the check in kiosk (3 of us). Ultimately it let us use one of my moms. The room was fithly. Surface was cleaned but walls crevices and bathroom were not clean. We cleaned it ourselves. Lobby was also dirty with over flowing garbages. Beds and línens were quite nice. Price was good but expect CLEAN. Area is sketchy near train station. Overall I would never stay there again.

Fantastic location, 5 mins to train station, opera house and main areas. Beautifully clean with super cosy beds. No TV in room which didn’t bother us. Never spoke to any staff as it is all self check in, luggage storage and check out. Easy to store luggage if needed. Little noisy on a Friday night outside and can hear people walking past room if talking. Lovely bakery/ restaurant downstairs.

If all you are concerned about is sleeping, this place is fine. But don’t expect to watch any television, because there isn’t one. And don’t expect to have a drink of water unless you get a paper cup from the coffee vending machine downstairs. Not a cup or glass in the room. I appreciate the affordability of this property, but a simple paper cup in the room would’ve been nice

City box was a great lower cost choice to stay in Oslo. Granted the rooms are small but there was enough room to get by for a couple of nights. We were out of the room exploring Oslo most of the time anyway. The beds were comfortable and the facility was clean. The staff was helpful with merging our two separate reservations when we had added a day so we didn’t need to change rooms. It was very convenient and walkable to most of the center of Oslo

Completely serviced its purpose. Great location (just two blocks from the train station), clean, secure, lobby was surprisingly nice, bed surprisingly comfortable, basic room and bathroom but fine, checkin is very quick (just make sure you have the reservation number readily available to input in the machine) - for the very cheap room rate - it definitely met and likely exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this hotel to others for an affordable great location in Oslo stay.

Great for the price, amazing location.

15 seconds to check in at a kiosk, and no useless request to show a passport. Still, I think a human staff person nearby is warranted. Nice room and bed but note there are no cups nor glasses provided, to drink from. At least there is a hair dryer in the bathroom.

Good price and good location

We had trouble with check-in since we booked through hotels.com, but someone in the lobby let us in, and showed us the office which is behind the main door, in a weird spot. The office helped us check in early (we had planned to just leave our bags, but the room was ready). We booked a Private bathroom, and i loved the bathroom! It was quaint. The floor in the room was stained, and had a weird texture that i imagine is hard to clean, but we had brought slippers. Great price and great location though so worth it in my book

First night we stayed in a double room. The rooms are tiny. Hard to have two people in there with luggage. The shower also very small. The last two nights we stayed in a 2 twin bed room. Those are bigger and more comfortable to stay in. The shower is larger except there is no barrier on the floor for water so water goes everywhere. We used towels on the floor to keep the water contained. I booked rooms through hotels.com and never received a booking reference number to check in. Had to click the help button. Someone did come out right away. Overall the stay was good for what we needed, a place to sleep and shower.
