The staff cleaning the rooms seem to have no set pattern of things that they do. Sometimes they would empty the garbage into a bag and leave the bag or not empty the garbage at all or leave the cups and glasses piled up uncleaned. The hotel was okay but service wasn't. Won't stay here next visit

Pleasant stay at Hotel Monterey Frere. Easy to get to from Osaka station by foot. Many dining options within a one block radius of the property and even more beyond that. Only concern is elevator availability can be delayed during peak times. Otherwise would come back again if I find myself in Osaka.

Although the room was quite small it was adequate. The bed was comfortable and king sized. The coffee making was only instant and only one each. The property was right next to the metro with cheap day passes
