Disappointed for a chain hotel.

Our room smelled musty and damp. The ceiling in the bathroom was wet and black. The mattress was worn. I was rolling off the side. The tub filled up when we took our showers. The toilet was from the 1950's and so low getting up was difficult for an older person. The bottom of the bathroom door was shredded from getting very wet. Breakfast was minimal. I would never go back there. I am worried about my lungs from the state of the ceiling and smell.

I was asked to check in online to save time at the front desk so I did - providing my license and my credit card. When I arrived I was asked to repeat the process - it’s not the end of the world but the attendant never smiled and generally seemed bothered by having to deal with me at all. Once we made our way to the room, it was overall neat and as clean as it could be for an older property. We did notice that the arm chairs upholstery was ripped and the cushion was missing - it honestly looked like it had been pulled off the side of the road. Only other issue really lies with the front desk attendant once again. My husband turned on the tv and a message popped up on the screen instructing us to change the batteries on the direct tv remote. He walked downstairs (there is no elevator) not once but twice to get new batteries. The ones she swapped out were dead batteries also. When he asked for new ones she said it works on her tv and refused to change the batteries. I do want to mention that the gentleman working the next morning was friendly and smiled - was generally very helpful.

The place is dump, it’s a step down from a Motel 8. Room smelled like smoke, unless it was a 3 prong plug nothing worked into to outlets which made it impossible to charge a phone. After trying every outlet in the room, figured out the iron was defective. The invoice made no sense, no definitive total charge for the room, now I have to audit my credit card because I don’t trust them. And it’s in a bad part of town. Just checking out was a chore. It’s the kind of place where u don’t complain u just learn ur lesson and don’t stay there again.
