Planning on visiting Oktu-ri? Bear in mind that there are no hotels in or near Oktu-ri's centre.

However, Daegu has a handful of accommodations. You'll discover it 40 kilometres from Oktu-ri. A few recommended hotels include the Hotel Inter Burgo and Grand Hotel.

Attractions and Hotels Near Oktu-ri

Always on the lookout for your next big adventure? You'll be happy to know that the wider South Gyeongsang region has some incredible things to see and experience as well. Ruins, traditional villages and old towns are some popular attractions that should be on your gotta-see list. If amazing scenery is more your thang, roam around the area's coastal plains. Additionally, if you've ever wanted to go mountain climbing, hiking and shore fishing, you'll have the opportunity to in this part of South Korea.

Everyone knows Aussies are pretty laid back, so consider hanging round a little longer and going to the Shineo Bowlingjang and Gimhae Bowlingjang in Kimhae-si, 65 kilometres to the southeast of Oktu-ri. If you're keen to spend a few nights in Kimhae-si, consider the Brown Dot Hotel and Color M Motel. Alternatively, you could stay in Namwon, 80 kilometres to the west of Oktu-ri, where you'll find the Chunwangbong Pension and The Suites Hotel Namwon. Should you choose to stay in Namwon, be sure to visit Namwon Recreational Forest and the Namwon National Gugak Center.

Ulsan is home to around 950,000. You'll find it 95 kilometres east of Oktu-ri. A few local attractions worth visiting include the Hyundai Motors Ulsan Factory, the Jangsaengpo Whale Museum and the Ulsan Museum. We were on a cycling trip and this was our first stay in a motel. The staff were helpful and explained how things worked. It had everything we needed for a one-night stay including a basic but quite adequate breakfast. There is a good restaurant 100m from the motel. No reason not to stay here if you are passing through.
