If you have your sights set on Ocongate, bear this in mind — hotel options in the vicinity are as few and far between as the hair on your great uncle Percy's head!

However, Oropesa does have some places to get some shut-eye. It's about 40 kilometres from Ocongate. Suggested hotels are The Garden House, Cusco and La Casona de San Jeronimo - Hotel Boutique.

Don't blow through before you've gone to the Agua Buena Recreational Park and Real Plaza Cusco in Cusco. If you want to visit Cusco, consider the Belmond Palacio Nazarenas and Belmond Hotel Monasterio. Or, you could stay in Urubamba, 85 kilometres to the northwest of Ocongate, where you'll find the Sol y Luna Relais & Chateaux and Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado. Whether you're just passing through or staying in Urubamba, set aside some time to visit Iglesia de Urubamba and Plaza de Armas.

William and his family are wonderful ppl. Their place is located in the heart of Peru, and believe me when I say they have a big heart and will make sure your stay is special! His dad Filipe is an amazing cook, and his mom makes amazing souvenirs. Of course it is rustic, but this is what we came for. Their home is only a 20-min drive from the 7 Lagunas trek, which I highly recommend! William has a driver he can call if needed. If you are looking to experience spending time at some locals and disconnect, this is the RIGHT place for you.
