Do Not Stay Here – Misleading and Disappointing Experience Room: The moment we walked in, the room smelled awful. The balcony was disgusting—littered with cigarette butts and empty wine bottles. Definitely not what was advertised. Parking: Incredibly inconvenient. There are only about 8 reserved parking spots, and you have to book them in advance. Otherwise, you’re stuck parking down the block and across the street. Most hotels include parking—this one does not. Housekeeping: We stayed for three nights and not once did anyone come to clean the room. When we asked, the housekeeper told us her shift was over and that she had to rush to her second job (and then went on a long rant about her personal life). Completely unprofessional. Customer Service: I asked for fresh towels, and the front desk lady during the day was rude and visibly irritated. Basic hospitality was totally lacking. Noise: The hotel is next to a church, and the bell rings constantly throughout the day. It’s loud and impossible to ignore. Pool & Hot Tub: The pool was filthy, and there were no umbrellas for shade. The hot tub is tiny—fits about four people—and has no lounge chairs around it, just a random bench. Tons of unused space with nothing but basic chairs. Overall: This hotel is a total waste of money. It looks nothing like the photos, and the service is terrible across the board. I strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

This is our second time staying at the Monte Carlo and this was definitely a better experience the room we had this time was much nicer and upgraded…. I would definitely stay again and it was much cleaner then other hotels we had stayed in and we literally transferred from one hotel this week that we had to this one bc we found it to be very dirty and had bugs and immediately called Monte Carlo and was able to accommodate us with a room the same day! The only complaint I have with the Monte Carlo is the pool side area don’t always have the bar opened and the check in area, elevator's and doors need to be cleaned other than that I have no complaints about the rooms being cleaned found nothing that would not would have made me stayed here!

Stayed at this hotel several times and this was the first time I was disappointed. The house keeping service was terrible. They took my trash and dirty towels did not replace them. Had to go to the front desk to request towels & toilet paper

The hotel was dirty when we checked in. The shower was filthy with the previous persons used soap still sitting there and hair all through the tub. Shower curtain looked like it hadn't been washed in months and there were no towels. Had to request multiple times to have it cleaned and it never was. To get new towels and even to take the garbage out to which they said it would be done tomorrow. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. And if you walked on the carpet it turned your socks black. The pool never had towels. Had a weird smell in the room that can't describe. Would not stay again and would not recommend.

Clean room, comfortable bed when I needed something housekeeping came right away. Only negative is the parking. Parking spaces were very small and could barely fit my SUV ! Just hope other drivers are as considerate as I was getting in and out of the car not to hit the others. Will stay there again. Very short walk to the beach and boardwalk

Checked into king room with Jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was dirty and stained. Soap and shampoo dispensers empty or half full. Bed sheet had holes in it. There were marks on the walls. People on room next to us kept slamming doors all night. Also thin walls. The staff was friendly enough but unable to answer questions about the area.

The hotel is in a nice location. The parking is terrible unless you get directly across the street. They only had one elevator and one ice machine that didn’t work. My room wasn’t clean when we checked in at 11pm. I reported it but it still didn’t get cleaned. We didn’t get service the entire time we stayed. The pool area was very nice on the roof. Morning staff was very very pleasant.

Arriving at the hotel there was no place to park for check in. Once I enter the room the only thing good was the clean bed and clean towels. No shampoo nor conditioner the carpet wasn’t vacuum and dirty the balcony had liquid drink stains. I felt like I checked in to a cheep motel. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I can share pictures if needed.

Its fine if you want to be in the beach area

The room was clean, though some of the pictures insinuated that the hotel next door was part of the facility. Thats all ok, but for just a little more you can get a place that has on site parking, includes breakfast, or a beachfront view. Compared to some of the other resorts of a similar price, its kind of a one-ice-machine small joint. Of intetest the tv was a mixed bag too. You can broadcast anything from your personal streaming accounts on your phone, as long as you go though the in house internet, but you need a lot of patience to figure out how to flip back to regular broadcast. It does have a rooftop pool though, and its absolutely a stones throw away from the beach and boardwalk, but its not beachfront or luxurious by any stretch.

Room was nice and spacious. However I did not receive a floor rug for extiting the shower. Floor was wet and slippery. I had to ask for one. Also there is no tub mat, Tub floor was slippery - almost slipped and fell. I asked for a tub mat and never received any. Also safety handles should be on the tub walls.

The space of the rooms was nice as well as the balcony. The parking was very difficult at first but once we found our parking it was fine. There was only one elevator so check in at 4pm was a bit chaotic. Plan to Use the steps a lot.

i stayed here with my family of 4. for the price i thought it was very nice. the pool on roof was fun and you’re right on a corner entrance to the boardwalk. i was hesitant because of the noise but it was totally fine. anywhere you want to go is no more than a 15 min drive, or the bus stop is right outside the hotel.

Our saving grace

After a horrific experience at The Commander in which we only stayed a night, we quickly left and headed to the Monte Carlo. The room was spacious, smelled great, clean and comfortable. This hotel was definitely the saving grace for our family vacation.
