We had an amazing stay for our 27th anniversary. When we opened our room we were greeted with a bottle of champagne on Ice rose petals and a view of the Empire State building! Amazing time we are so glad we stayed with Virgin hotel!

Centrally located with great staff, however the rooms were not up to par. We were greeted with a 180$ security deposit that takes 3-5 days to refund. We went up to our room which was very nice with a great view, however it was smaller than we anticipated and lacked several crucial amenities. There is a fridge, yes, but it is already stocked to the brim with overpriced beverages, so no space in it for self food storage. The security is a bit overboard and just getting up to your room and using the elevator can be a headache. No microwave in the room, so no reheating of food. Comfortable bed and a huge TV. This place is great if all you want is somewhere to lay your head after a long day of trekking New York, but it's a bit overpriced for that market. Upon checkout they said I owed 0$, but sent an invoice for 35$ for something called "amenity fees". We didn't touch any of the overpriced drinks or snacks. Overall, the stay was about a 2.5/5, there are better deals to be found elsewhere.

Overlooked Room

The room has potential, but unfortunately I don’t think anyone had completely serviced my room for quite some time. There were mystery stains all over the couch that no one would be able to overlook. I’m young enough that I can usually figure out TVs/tech in general, but this one was straight up disconnected. I didn’t bother calling anyone and just watched TV on my laptop. Also, the time on the clocks were an hour off, indicating no one had changed them for daylights savings a few weeks ago. A small, but telling detail.

Hotel is clean, updated, modern and the staff was efficient. Perfect location on Broadway without being loud. We felt safe and comfortable our whole trip.

The amenities were so numerous and great quality. The housekeeping staff was very helpful and kind. The technology utilized enhanced the stay instead of confusing and detracting like it sometimes does if not fully tested. (elevator systems for safety, running every need/request and information through the TV, and the lighting systems and use of all from the app) The bathroom layout was awesome and helpful and the view from the huge room windows was worth the price x10.
