Location was great, housekeeper was polite and friendly. It was a place to lay our heads after busy days, but we never felt comfortable. Only 1 air con worked, the one that did was noisy, shower was not designed well, it was tired looking, used the stairs more than the elevators, front of house staff were grumpy and tried to swindle us by ordering a black cab to La Guardia airport for $100, we ended up booking a taxi for $55.

Good location!

Great location to Times Square and many theaters! Friendly staff! The hotel was clean but old and needs updating. The room was very small but clean an adequate for as little time that we spent there. Expensive for what you get because of location

We paid for a premium room but they tried give us an inferior room, had to show my reservation 3 times until they gave us the room we paid for also its a worn down hotel only 2 dirty elevators worked one of the rooms didnt had a fridge.

Convenient to Times Square, subway and most theatres. The staff was friendly and paid attention to every detail during my stay. The elevators are very slow and small and there is no early check in without paying a fee.

Very disappointed with the condition of the room. Bathroom was clean, but the floor was dirty and sticky in the bedroom area. Literally picking off what appeared to be a gum-like substance from the soles of my shoes. The room needed updating with paint and new bath tiles and fixtures. Have stayed at The Gallivant previously and did not remember the room I had in such bad condition. Will not consider staying there again.

Condition of the hotel was very outdated and looked like hadnt had any work done since it opened, poor bathroom design, struggled to get in to the bathroom and shut the door as toilet in the way, more water came out of the shower than stayed in it

From the bugs in the rooms - roaches and moths, to the dysfunctional air conditioner to the rude cleaning staff to the disfunctioning elevators to the sagging bed that gave me a back ache… this hotel needs major improvements. Only good thing was location.
