The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was tiny, not unusual for NY hotels. Location was convenient. It’s in an area in Brooklyn that is undergoing gentrification. It’s a quick walk to Nostrand Avenue for quick bites, restaurants, bakeries and fruit markets.
Our biggest issue: the hallways wreaked of marijuana!! We reported the problem to the manager, who stared at us in silence. Very disappointing!
No support staff on site (no manager, housekeeping) to address mess from leak in bathroom. One person at counter/desk not very helpful- Need additional staff on hand. Leakage Stemmed with a pile of towels. Room and premises were clean.

Very basic hotel, compare to the price, small dining room, no loby, but workt for us for few nights
The staff at the front desk was not very friendly. We informed the front that we smelled smoke the the elevator for today’s and some one was smoking at the end on the first floor. $2.00 for one small water, Are You Kidding Me??!!! I said never mind. I ask him to charge some of the snacks that were inside the securely locked front lobby area where he was sitting and he informed me that I have to pay for them before he can give it to me. I was not very comfortable at all.
It seemed that the were afraid to tell occupancy no to smoke like the sign say on the office window. They are afraid to report them to the police for violating the no smoking signs that are everywhere. They need to start standing up to ones who break the rules and enforce the NO SMOKING POLICY WITH THE $250.00 FINE
The lobby needs to have accommodations for the customers in the lobby so people can sit down for a short time. Restrooms should be on the ground floor or on the first floor to accommodate those staying there to relieve themselves when they need too.
Staff needs to have better English speaking skills.
For a new hotel, the craftsmanship of install tile inside the batroom looks like it was not done by professionals. Ummmmmm. Not Good.😡😤😠😣😖😡😤😠😣😾
The staff at this hotel was quite courteous. The hotel was clean on the outside and inside and beds were comfortable. The only downfall is finding a cockroach on the wall on the second night of our stay. We did inform the staff and they did want to assist by spraying Raid. Due to the smell, chemicals and being late we declined and asked to be moved to another room. Unfortunately, there was no room available to be transferred to that night and we were told in the morning. They will let us know if there was a room available. Morning came and there was no room available The following day so we asked them to please clean the room and ensure it was clean by the time we returned. Aside from that the room we were in was close to the stair door, which was annoying because every time someone will open the door it was slam Which would wake us from our sleep. For the price we paid we got a fair stay. Will I rebook probably not.

Room was small particularly for two people. Rooms could use some table lamps for reading in bed at night. The noise from other guests slamming their doors close in the early morning and late at night was unsettling. Hotel room doors could use some type of cushions to mitigate the sound.
The expedia reviews are deceiving, the google reviews are much more accurate. The room wasn’t completely clean - there was someone else’s dirty crumpled up napkin in the corner when I arrived. It was LOUD. Not from outside, which you just have to be used to when you come to New York, but the insulation is awful and you can hear from the hallways every footstep and every conversation and every time someone uses the elevator. I was in the furthest room in the corner and I could still hear EVERYTHING. There’s also a safety issue that anybody can come into the hotel because you don’t need to use your key card to come in or to use the elevator. But good thing the staff is behind bullet proof glass.

Not sure how clean the room was. It appeared clean, but the refrigerator was dirty and had stuff in it from a previous guest. Yuck!
