Location and comfort

Was a quick stay— only one night, as I was in NY for work. The check-in was quick and efficient, front desk recommended a place to eat as well. The hotel is walking distance to not only the subway but a lot of other businesses, so the location is nice. The room was clean and spacious for a NY hotel. The only “complaints” I’d add is that the toilet, not the seat, but the toilet itself kept moving when I used it. And I wish they had a hot breakfast, but the fruits were fresh, so I took some and left for work. Overall, would come back again.

This hotel exceeded expectations! It offers great value for money in New York, and has great access to main Subway lines into the heart of the city. Impeccably clean throughout, comfortable room, and above average breakfast. A stylish building with a rich history. Saw a good mix of international guests during my stay. Yes, it's in the Bronx, so of course it has Bronx situations going on around it. Don't be alarmed! Basic common sense and you'll be fine, Highly recommended - will be my go-to for stays in NYC going forward.

While the hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and had friendly staff, the surrounding area was a major issue for me and my family. Unfortunately, the neighborhood felt very unsafe—there were people openly using drugs on the street and hanging around at all hours. I didn’t feel comfortable walking outside, especially at night. It’s a shame because the hotel has potential, but the location really takes away from the overall experience. I would not stay here again

Pretty good overall

Hotel was great…we thought it was a bit closer to Manhattan but we utilized the subway to get back and forth quite easily most of the time. The neighbourhood is not nice, it’s pretty sketchy but we didn’t feel “unsafe” but I wouldn’t be hangin around outside after 11:00 PM
