My room was tiny—there is no way that I could have shared the room with my husband, since I had to use part of the bed for storage— there were no desk or shelves. There was loud music blaring at all times of day. The food offerings were super expensive and rudimentary.

It’s a hip hotel that attracts a vibrant nightlife BUT the rooms are way too small, the staff was slow to respond to any requests, the rooftop bar was closed, one of the elevators was down most of the time, the bartenders were slow and rude. Also, it’s way overpriced!

This is my second stay at the Moxy Williamsburg. It wasn't as good as the first stay. On this stay, I brought my husband. I wanted to show him the rooftop bar that my friend and I had enjoyed in February. Every time we tried to go to the rooftop and we scanned our key in the elevator, we couldn't get there. We asked at the concierge and they said that it would be open. In a 5 night stay, we weren't able to access it at all. The strange thing is that others were able to access it. Also, the last night of our stay, the wait staff at the hotel bar was basically ignoring us. We ordered food and drinks, and eventually got them, but we had to wave our bartender down each time. We were sitting at the bar, and she would hang out at the other end not checking in on us. Sadly, this is markedly different from my experience in February. My husband and I will have a return trip to New York either this fall or next spring. We will have to stay somewhere other than the Moxy in Williamsburg.

Great hotel in central Williamsburg

Great location in central Williamsburg walkable to all the bars and restaurants. Hotel is lively and loud so not ideal if you want to sleep. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and had a nice view of Williamsburg bridge.

The staff and location was wonderful!

Loved location and staff...especially Stephanie. She was ABSOLUTELY amazing. They were all so very accommodating. Not sure if I would stay there again for only one reason. Their rooms make NO sense. No chairs to sit, no closet, no space for luggage, small sink outside of bathroom, no counterpace, a roof top that is never available to guests as it always booked out. We had to move rooms to a 4 bunk beds bedroom just for space! Other than that..we had a great time❤️

Lovely hotel with really nice room, superb cleanliness, a wonderful location and easy access to a few different subway stops for travelling around New York. If you’re looking to break away from typical Manhattan-based break, this is the ideal spot for a much more relaxed feel. Williamsburg is a fantastic spot with good bars, restaurants, shops and a completely different feel to the Times Square madness. Hotel staff are helpful, the bar is nice, place is very well looked after, and it’s well worth making use of the free tickets to Liberty cruise and Brooklyn Museum and $15 per day credit - helps you feel the end-of-stay tax isn’t too painful. Worth noting rooftop bar is only open two nights per week so you won’t be hanging out there much to enjoy the view.

Paid 900$+ for the night/single bed room. The room was a size of a walk in closet. With min to no furniture in. Poorly cleaned. Asked for a clean wine glass(empty) in the bar downstairs around 8 pm was told that “none were available at the time”. Poor sound isolation of the rooms. Bathrooms in common areas had no soap in none of the dispensers since early morning to late afternoon

Loved the bar and staff there. The rooms are very well laid out and perfect for a shorter stay. It's a 15 minute walk in a couple of directions for metro stations from JFK and to other parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan, which was fine for us because we enjoyed the walk through the happening and lively area. We always felt safe. A shame that the roof was not open all the time as it's a missed oppty. We stayed 4 nights and only could use it 1 night as it was closed all others, and even then it was open for residents only from 10pm and only in night club mode.

Just ok- more like a 3* but good views

I was just staying one night at Moxy, the people on reception were a little cold. There’s no room service, no fridge in the room, no mini bar etc. Just warm bottles of water that were $5 each. I booked because of their rooftop- despite it being summer, it’s only open on the weekends. Rooms are small and the shower and toilet door open into the bedroom w the sink on the bedroom wall. Would be cramped with 2 people. The neighbourhood is nice though and you can walk to domino park- this was the best part! They did however give me a free one hour extended late check out till 1pm. I’d however expect the fore mentioned amenities for £220 on a weeknight.
